Thirty-eight days, which is longer than every palace and every theme park on this site. The patch at Hobbledown Heath opens on 25 September and closes on 1 November 2026, and the thing a family is buying is a meadow beside the River Crane in the London Borough of Hounslow — a five-minute woodland walk from the main entrance and car park.
What the ticket is
A Pumpkin Days ticket covers entry to the patch, seasonal games, themed photo points, marshmallow toasting and live entertainment. It is priced by date: £7.50 on quieter dates, £8.50 on busier ones and £9.50 across peak half term, with ages one and two from £3.75 and under-ones free. Every booking carries a £2.75 booking fee.
The two things it does not cover
The pumpkin. Hobbledown states it plainly in its own FAQ — pumpkins are charged separately to entry — and so are the fairground rides. So does the adventure park next door: a Pumpkin Days ticket does not get you into Hobbledown Heath itself, and the Patch + Park ticket from £20 is the resort's own answer to that, covering the patch, The Great Barn indoor playbarn, the animals and the outdoor adventure villages. Annual passholders are in the same position: the patch is a separate chargeable event, booked through the passholder portal.
Pumpkin Nights
The evening version runs 6pm to 8pm on eleven October dates — the 16th, 17th and 18th, then the 23rd to the 30th — with lanterns, live acts and the patch after dark, from £12 a head and from £4.75 for ages one and two. Note what that list leaves out: on 31 October the patch is open during the day only, so a family planning Halloween night here should plan Halloween afternoon instead.
Three dates for dogs
Friday 2 October, Friday 9 October and Thursday 15 October, daytime sessions only, £2.50 per dog. Dogs are not admitted to the adventure park, which means those three dates are the patch on its own — and all three fall before half term, when the meadow is at its emptiest anyway.
Getting to Hobbledown Heath
Staines Road, Hounslow, TW4 5DS. There is a car park at the main Hobbledown Heath site, managed by a third party, and parking is charged on top of everything else. The site is open ground and the ticket is timed, so a pram or pushchair is no obstacle.
The arithmetic is worth doing before booking. A family of four on a peak half-term date is £38 plus the booking fee plus the parking plus a pumpkin each, and none of that buys the adventure park — whereas the same four on a quiet Tuesday in late September, with the Patch + Park ticket, get the whole site for a day. September is also when the meadow looks like a meadow rather than a queue. One would take the last week of September or the first of October, take the bundle, and treat the pumpkin as the souvenir it is rather than the thing one came for.
