Alexandra Palace Fireworks & Drone Festival 2026

Alexandra Palace has the advantage of altitude. It stands on one of the highest hills in north London, and on the weekend after Bonfire Night it sends up fireworks and a drone show that a good part of the city can see — though one sees it a great deal better from the park itself.

Saturday 7 November: the grown-up evening

Gates open at 4pm and the display begins, promptly, at 8pm. The DJ Eats Everything is the special guest, with a Queen tribute and a brass band for company. In the Great Hall, entered by the Palm Court, the German Bier Festival runs until 11pm, with last entry at 10: strictly over-18s, Challenge 25 at every bar, and fancy dress encouraged.

Sunday 8 November: the family one

Gates again at 4pm, and the display rather earlier, at 6pm — a kindness to anyone with a bedtime to keep. There is Barrioke with Shaun Williamson, a Junior Jungle kids' rave and marshmallows over fire pits, and the capacity is smaller than Saturday's. Tickets for the under-10s are £6.50 including fees.

Arriving

Last entry to the park is five minutes after the display begins — 8.05pm on Saturday, 6.05pm on Sunday — and the gates are at their busiest in the hour before. The park is all hills, steep in places and slippery in the wet, so sensible shoes are rather more than a suggestion.

Sold day by day through the Palace's festival site. The event pages print no adult prices; the Sunday under-10s fare is the only one quoted.

The same Saturday, south of the river

Blackheath holds its display on the very same evening, and Battersea Park holds one on each of the two, so London must choose its hill. And for those who could not wait for November, Herne Hill Velodrome lights its bonfire on Halloween.
